Description

Laminated cardboard is a luxurious and stylish option for packaging. It can be 3-ply (3p), 5-ply (5p), 7-ply (7p), or single-face.

In laminated cardboard, the desired design is first printed on cardboard using offset printing. Then, it is laminated on the cardboard sheets (3p, 5p, 7p, single) and stapled or glued.

In general, the steps for producing laminated cardboard are as follows:

Step 1: Design the printing pattern

Step 2: Design the cutting line

Step 3: Make the mold

Step 4: Get the zinc

Step 5: Print the poster (usually on 18gsm gray or glossy cardboard)

Step 6: Matt or glossy film

Step 7: Perform lamination

Step 8: Cut and die-cut

Step 9: Lip glue or staple (staples are used for large-size cartons)

Laminated cardboard has a cover made of 230gsm gray cardboard or glossy cardboard over 170gsm or writing paper over 120gsm with glossy or matte film coating (for gray and glossy cardboard) that has printing from 1 to 6 colors (silver and gold CMYK). The installation of the above cover on single and E flute, 3-ply to 7-ply cardboard is done, which is called lamination.
